I received the interactive cat toy a couple of days ago. I did my homework and selected the Smart Cat Toy. So now, I was hoping that I made a wise choice. Right away, it felt like a quality product. After charging it up (easy),I placed it on a low pile carpet. I started off with the blue fast mode, placed it on the floor and then it was all over. My two chocolate labs and my 7 month old cat eyes popped out. The dogs lost interest, except for their fascination while watching the cat. Right then and there, I knew my choice was a good one. Right before bed, I began charging and my cat stood right by it with “I am so not ready to stop playing”.She adores it and we love watching her antics.On a scale of one to ten, I give it a 24. Now, I just need to purchase a few more and share with my cat loving friends and family.

Got this to entertain my new kitten that I'm having to isolate in my bedroom and bathroom so my older cat can get used to the scent before they're introduced. This toy entertains the kitten who chases it like a madman and it goes everywhere in the 2 rooms so she is chasing it and getting good exercise. It has managed to extricate itself from getting stuck in corners and tight spots I was sure it would be stuck. My bathroom has thick chenille rugs and the toy goes from the bare floor to the rugs and off again with no problem. My bedroom carpet is low pile and the toy rolls on it just like it was bare floors. I have brought it out to the other rooms for my older cat to play with it and she likes it too, but isn't as wild in her play as the kitten. Lasts a long time between charges and it is easy to recharge. Love this. Seems very durable because it bangs into walls and furniture legs and just keeps on going. It started rolling slower after about 4 days of heavy use, so I took the clear plastic piece off the wheels and cleaned the cat hair off and back to full speed again. My cat's like the slower speeds better than the first really fast speed. I like that when I turn it off and then turn it on, it defaults to the last used speed.

Cats were instantly engaged! I have 3 older cats and they really like it. It moves erratically like real prey and the tail gives them something fun to chase around. About as loud as a tiny toy car. Squeaks can be turned on or off, but they are not loud either so I left them on. Great value for the price.

One cat will play with the string that's attached to the ball if the toy is turned off. The minute it's turned on, the noises and motion freak her out and she runs out of the room. It would be nice if I could turn the sound off, or turn it down. Maybe a different sound would be better. It's nice that it has 3 different speeds but the slowest one is still too much for our cats. It's well made & well thought out. Love that it's USB rechargeable, so it's been easy to keep trying now and then.

My dog loves to push a hard large ball in the back yard but it is winter and a lot of snow here. Looking for some toys to keep her active indoors. ( she is a border collie ). I came across this interactive ball that said it can travel on carpet. It works so great….it does keep her busy for hours. If you have a destructive dog, it is not for them. Even though she is a super active medium sized dog. She is not destructive of her toys. The perks with this is you can clean out any hair that gets collected running on the floor. The noise level is not annoying ( chirping ). And it does have a nice light that goes on and off. It is not large in size and will not work for all dogs. Definitely a must for cats .
